As part of our service, a 30-minute forum of continuing education each year to all staff members on optometric practices and procedures.

 

 

 

 

 

Our forum covers:

  • Anatomy and physiology of the ageing eye
  • Pathology of the eye, including cataracts, glaucoma and conjunctivitis
  • Ocular infection control within nursing homes
  • Macular degeneration
  • Cataracts
  • Glaucoma
  • Diabetes
  • Maintenance of glasses for the elderly

It is well agreed that Accredited Continuing Education is critical for the provision of the most innovative and up-to-date care for residents in Aged Care Facilities. In order for Aged Care Facilities to attain Accredited Continuing Education Standards

A Certificate of Accreditation for Continuing Education will also be presented to the facility on completion of the lecture from OnSight Optometry lecturer.
